There shall not be smoking inside the home. Extra cleaning fees to remove odor and stains may be applied. There is a small patio right in front of the entrance. If you are a smoker, please honour your vice there.

No shoes within the house

While you might find this interesting or even odd, people in most homes in Hungary are asked to take their shoes off when they enter. Homes in Hungary are intimate places where not wearing your outdoor shoes inside contributes to the tidiness of private life.

Keep the noise to the minimum between 10 PM and 8 AM.

The Nook is in an apartment building where people live their everyday lives. This place is supposed to serve as a retreat, not as a party place. For that you have Budapest’s best bars and ruin pubs in a 10 minute distance, so really, there is no need to bring the party home. Also, in Hungary you are not to disturb your neighbours between these hours by law.

Always close windows and the entrance door before leaving.

Please, NEVER leave the apartment open when you are not in it, always make sure you lock it before leaving. Thunderstorms come and go frequently, especially during the Summer, so please, close all windows too when leaving for your trip.

Always turn the air conditioner and the lights off before leaving.

Save the planet, neither lights, TV, nor the air-co need to run when you are not at home.
